We’re delighted that we will be meeting Tuesday evening February 26th, 7:30PM, at the Scotch Hills
Country Club, 820 Jerusalem Rd., Scotch Plains, NJ 07076. Our program is “Youngs Paint and Varnish Company”. We’re lucky to have one of the family members that last helped managed what once was a premier decorating store for this area: Larry Andrews, grandson of the founder of Youngs in 1925. The local high school TV will be filming so we will we be able to have a record in our museum.

Just a reminder that we have no meeting in January nor is the Cannonball House museum open. We’ve found through experience that few people want to venture forth in this cold month. We will post the program for our February meeting just as soon as it is finalized.

You are invited to the Osborn Cannonball House for the free annual open house and Christmas party on Sunday, December 2nd from 2pm to 4pm at 1840 Front Street in Scotch Plains. Join us for hot mulled cider along with goodies to eat. Featured is our Victorian Christmas tree and 1800s winter clothing display. Join us for caroling around our restored 1885 Mason and Hamlin reed pump organ. Costumed guides will conduct tours. The museum will be closed for January and February. It will reopen Sunday, March 3rd in the New Year.
