The Osborn Cannonball House Museum will be open October 16th and 17th, 2021 from noon to 5pm as part of “Four Centuries in a Weekend: A Journey through Union County’s History”. Admission is free. Tour this 18th century home and hear the story of how it was hit by Revolutionary War Cannonball Fire. See our “Strength in Women through the Ages” display featuring the history and clothing of the Suffrage Movement in NJ. Learn about Mary Darby, an 18th century Scotch Plains woman who selflessly aided the Revolutionary cause. Costumed docents will give guided tours.
The Osborn Cannonball House Museum will break it’s pandemic slumber to open for Scotch Plains Day, Sunday October 3rd from 11am to 3pm. Come and get a preview of our new exhibit on the women’s suffrage movement. The museum is adjacent to the Town Green at 1840 Front St, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076.
